Augusta Mae Winston was born July 13, 1921 in Brush, CO to Clyde and Mabel Morey. She passed away Sept. 5, 2016 in Akron, CO at age 95.

She was one of 8 children. She was a caring and loving sister and daughter who helped care for her father in his last year until his death at age 104 and also her mother until her death at age 98.

She was a true friend and a friend for life. She always worked hard and also enjoyed playing cards and board games, and was quite competitive.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie and is survived by two sons; Michael and Henry. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, two sisters and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Augusta was a member of the Foursquare Church of Akron, CO.

A funeral service was held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Foursquare Church of Akron. Interment followed at the Akron Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made the Foursquare Church, or to the Washington County Nursing Home.
