Obituary

Cheryl Jean Lambertson-Wynn went home to be with Jesus in Heaven on December 16, 2021 at the age of 71. She was joyfully welcomed by her Son, Blair Adam and other family and friends.

Born on October 4, 1950, Cheryl grew up in Akron, Colorado on the Lambertson family farm with her siblings: Bobbi, Don, Patti, Debbie, and Terri where she discovered at a young age that the farm life was not for her. After graduation from Akron High School, she married her high school sweetheart Robert "Bob" Hamblin and was blessed with their daughter Tammy. They remained in Northeastern Colorado where she worked at the County Hospital.

The marriage was short and after divorce she moved to Arvada, Colorado.  Cheryl later married Laurence "Bob" Worthley. Together they welcomed daughter, Angela and later in life were surprised by son, Blair. During this time Cheryl discovered her love for decorating and her creativity evolved. She applied her creative passion to many different hobbies, all of which gave her joy over the years. She remained married to Bob Worthley for many years, raised a family together but later divorced.

While working as an Office Manager Cheryl met and married Paul Wynn. They relocated to Aurora, CO and she became a sales agent for manufactured homes. Eventually, they started their own tool sales business.  Paul handled the orders and sales side of the business and Cheryl was the mastermind in the office.  After Paul's retirement they moved back to the Arvada area. Cheryl then became a caregiver at On Golden Pond in the Memory care unit, where she enjoyed caring for her patients. Upon the passing of her husband Paul, Cheryl moved to Denver, CO where she found security in her small apartment.

Cheryl was passionate about her floral design, ceramics, painting, and creating beautiful jewelry. She enjoyed attending church and singing with the worship team.  She was quiet in nature, but her competitiveness would come out while playing any game. She loved her children.  Her proudest moments were when each of them was born. She cherished her amazing, talented, and beautiful grandchildren with an extraordinary LOVE, that she struggled to express at times. She loved watching them all grow into the amazing people they have become.

Preceded in death by her son Blair Adam Worthley; mother Marjory Lambertson-Goodwin; step-father "Grandpa" Jack Goodwin; father Everett Lambertson; sister Patricia "Patti" Bashor; former husband Robert "Bob" Hamlin; former husband Laurence "Bob" Worthley; husband Paul "Papa" Wynn.

Cheryl grieved intensely over the loss of her loved ones.  After the loss of her son, she struggled to laugh her contagious laugh and her desires and ambitions began to dim.   We know Cheryl's JOY has been restored.  She is now laughing, singing, and dancing with all her loved ones that welcomed her Home.

Cheryl will be deeply missed and is survived by daughters Tammy Kay Worthley and Angela Sue Karpiel and son-in-law Scott Karpiel.  Her cherished grandchildren Chase Adam Worthley, Arizona Sue Worthley, Genevieve Neva Karpiel, and Jonas Scott Karpiel.

All are in invited to join the family to celebrate, Cheryl Jean Lambertson-Wynn.  A viewing will be held Sunday, December 26th from 3:00-5:00pm at Bowin Funeral Home, 175 W. 3rd Street, Akron, Colorado, 80720.  Graveside services will be at Riverside Cemetery Sterling, CO Monday December 27, 2021 at 11:00am.  Lunch will follow the service at Sam & Louie's 310 Main Street Sterling, CO.
