Obituary

Deloris A Grimme passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2017 after a sudden medical event while driving. She was born to Ida (Diercks) Koithahn on January 22, 1938 only a few short months after the sudden death of her father Alvin Koithahn in Woodburn, Indiana. Deloris "Dee" worked as a heavy custodian for 29 years at the Magnavox Plant in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and then drove for a short time for the railroad transporting workers. Dee married Robert Grimme in Ft. Wayne. They enjoyed several road trips together on their Harleys, which started with their honeymoon road trip to the Grand Canyon. Dee and her mother enjoyed their annual summer visit to Kansas and Colorado to see her mother's brothers and sisters and all of Dee's cousins. She had a fond love for animals and enjoyed horses and her horse collection while growing up. In 2004 she made a permanent move to Colorado to be with family. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, brothers Bernard Koithahn and Edwin Koithahn and one sister Selma Grimme. She is survived by two nieces Carla Cox and Janet McGurdy and one nephew Kevin Koithahn and the Grimme family all of Indiana. She will be missed by her many cousins throughout the states and her special kitten Smokey.
A Graveside service will be Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Burdett Cemetery north of Otis, Colorado. Donations may be made to Burdett Cemetery.
