Edward Kirk Rose died May 17, 2018 at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma. Ed was born December 14, 1944 to Harold and Marie Rose.

Edward attended school through the 11 ^th grade. He then joined the Air Force in January 1963. Ed served his country from 1963 to 1969. During that time he received a small arms medal, national defense service medal and a Vietnam service medal. During that time he held the position of an Aircraft mechanic.

After his service in the Air Force Ed worked as a mechanic, tree trimmer, worked on oil rigs and drove a truck. He made many lasting relationships.  In 1969 he married Pam Hofmeister. They had two sons.

He is survived by his son Cory D Rose of Scottsdale, Arizona and brother Rickey H Rose of Tacoma, Washington.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marie, his brother Donald and a baby son.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Bowin Funeral Home in Akron at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Inurnment will be at the Akron Cemetery with military honors.
