Esther (Feather) Moody, 93, died November 14, 2010 in Sterling, CO. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Otis, CO. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Otis.
Esther was born May 12, 1917 on a farm near Burwell, NE to Jess and Marie (Udell) Worley. She grew up and attended South Star rural grade school and High School in Bird City, KS.
Esther married Oscar Feather June 11, 1934. They lived on farms around St. Francis, KS for 26 years. Oscar and Esther moved to Otis, CO in 1964. Esther's husband of 47 years passed away on August 6, 1981.
In 1985, Esther married Dale Moody and lived in Longmont, CO. Dale passed away March 3, 1999.
Esther was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Otis, CO. She loved to travel and spent endless hours with her family.
Esther was preceded in death by husband Oscar Feather and three sons, second husband Dale Moody and step grandson, her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Esther is survived by her sons John Feather and wife Billie, Randall Feather and wife Carol, step-daughter Marjory Brickman and husband Don, step-sons Dick Moody and wife Janet, Dave Moody and wife Sharon, sisters Betty Lampe, Evelyn Renz, Joy Keppel and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
