Gilbert Dale Kraich, age 55 of Akron, Colorado, died unexpectedly at his home on December 31, 2018.  He was born on July 19, 1963 to Ronald and Veda (Ross) Kraich.  Gilbert was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church.  He attended the Akron Schools K-12 graduating in 1981.

Gilbert worked in Denver for a couple of years then moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked there for 5 years, before returning to Akron where he worked as a carpenter until his death.  Gilbert loved his nephews and nieces, always playing a game with them, or heading to the lake to take them fishing.

Gilbert had a real love for his dogs.  When you saw Gilbert sitting, you could bet his dogs weren't far away or sitting on his lap.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his mother Veda Kraich, sister-in-law Darlene Kraich, and both sets of grandparents Kraich and Ross.  Left to mourn his passing is his father Ronald Kraich; brothers Ron Kraich Jr. of Akron, Terry (Kathy) Kraich of Venango, NE, and Mitch Kraich of Akron; nephews Greg (Kimberley) Kraich of Grand Junction, Bill (Janna) Kraich of Fort Collins, and Adam (Zalisha) Kraich of LaSalle; nieces Kimberly Kraich of Fleming, and Tiffany (Norman) Webb of Peetz; many great-nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and friends Wayne Florian of Akron, Tim Dowell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Hector Hernandez of Amarillo, Texas, and his dog Taz.

There will be a Celebration of Life service held at a later date, and a private family inurnment at the Akron Cemetery.  Memorials can be made out in memory of Gilbert to the Peace Lutheran Church of Akron, or to the Akron Senior Center.
