Harold Severin was born on June 3, 1937, near Haigler, Nebraska, to Clarence William Severin and Alice Miner Severin. He was the youngest of 11 children.

The family moved to Akron, Colorado, in 1943. They settled on a farm South of Akron where Harold grew up and graduated from Akron High School in 1955.

After graduation Harold joined the Army Corps of Engineers. Upon his discharge he returned to Akron and farmed with his farther. Harold married Marilyn Rose Hokonson on December 28, 1974. They moved to the farm after his father passed away in 1975, where continued to farm and eventually raise sheet. He is preceded in death by Marilyn who passed away on February 17, 2016. Harold continued living at the farm and raising sheep with the help of his nephew, Dick Severin and his trusted sheep dog.

He is survived by Dean Severin, brother, of Akron, Colorado, and Emma (Lu) Clement, sister, of Aurora, Colorado, and many nieces, nephews and their families.

After spending time with friends and family, Harold passed away on April 20, 2026. Harold was well known in Akron and loved by most who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

He fought the good fight and deserves his rest.

Harold was cremated according to his wishes, and no service will be held.
