Jamie McCurdy, 67 of Akron, passed away on July 21, 2017 at the Sterling Regional MedCenter. Jamie Elaine Price was born August 7, 1949 to Willie and Daisy (Bloodworth) Price in McCamey, Texas. She attended elementary school in Texas, before moving to Casper, Wyoming in the sixth grade. It was in sixth grade that she met her future husband, John McCurdy. Jamie graduated Kelly Walsh High School in 1968, and less than a month later, was married on June 15, 1968. To this union, two sons were born: John Jr, who passed away in infancy, and James Robert (Jim Bob).
Jamie worked as an Assessor's clerk and also at ABC Daycare.
Jamie loved crafting, sewing and decorating. She especially loved her pets, and others people's pets as well.
Jamie was preceded in death by her sons John Jr and James Robert, her parents, and her sister-in-law Margaret Price. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John; grandson Zach Buhler; brothers Edgar Price and wife Maureen, Gary Price and wife Sharyn, and Jeffrey Price; her sister Cindy as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Bowin Funeral Home in Akron. Interment will follow at the Akron Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
