Jeannie Taylor, age76, was called home to the Lord May 9th, 2015 with the comfort of loved ones by her side.
Jeannie was born to Irving and Esther Cox on July 11, 1938 in Akron, Colorado. After Jeannie attended school she began working and married Fred Wallace Taylor. They made their home in Akron, where they raised their 7 children.
Jeannie enjoyed crocheting, conversations with friends and family, collecting angels, snow globes, and music boxes. Some of Jeannie's proudest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her brothers: Ernie, Butch and Nick; Sisters: Nina, Vera and Zella; Son Mark Taylor, and Daughters: Kathy Taylor and Theresa Carter. She is survived by her husband Fred Taylor; brothers: Tom and Jay; sisters: Charlotte, Margie, and Jill; sons: Michael Taylor, Fred and wife Nicole Taylor; daughters: Sharon and husband David Meyers, Peggy and husband Gene Serl; son-in-law Kevin Carter. She is also survived by her grandchildren Natasha and husband Madison Livesay, Andrea Johnson, Vicki Serl, Valerie and husband Daniel Cottman, Vanessa and husband Kyle Zimmerman, Valicia Serl, Destawny Taylor, Samantha Meyers, Fred and wife Kathrine Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Mackinzie Taylor, Chris Carter, and Aaron Carter. Great-grandchildren Kendal, Tori, Taylor, Micah, Xavier, Jakzon, Kyesyn, Payke, Ava and Aiden. Jeannie will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bowin Funeral Home in Akron. Memorial donations may be made to the Akron VFW or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
