Josephine M. Miller, 93 of Otis, passed away on December 17, 2018 at the Washington County Nursing Home.  A funeral service will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Otis.  Interment will follow at the Otis Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She was born in Voigtsdorf, Germany on September 12, 1925 to Hugo Nadolph and Gertrude (Rahchict) Nadolph at a Catholic Monastery.  She immigrated to the United States with her parents at the age of five years.

She was united in marriage to  Jerry R. Miller on March 21, 1945.  To this union, 4 children were born: Ronald, Tim, Drenia, and Brian.  She and her husband moved to Otis, CO in 1960, where they were engaged in a successful upholstery business for many years.

Josephine was an avid gardener and proudly grew roses as a hobby.  She was also involved as a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid Society, where she devoted many happy hours of service.

In May 2017, Josephine became a resident of the Washington County Nursing Home in Akron, CO, where she resided until her death.
