Obituary

Kami Higgins-Lamb-Anderson, 48 of Sterling, CO was born on June 25, 1961. She passed away on April 21, 2010 at the Sterling Living Center. Kami was born in Yuma, CO, raised in Akron, CO, and moved to Sterling where she lived with her husband Virgal (Jim) Anderson and son Andy Lamb. Kami attended schools in Akron and graduated from Akron High School.
Kami's deep faith in God, Jesus Christ as Savior, fellowship of the Holy Spirit, sustained her in life. In her own written words of how she wanted to be remembered, she wrote, "Remember my great sense of humor and positive outlook on life. Remember my love for God and Jesus, my Savior. I have no fear of death because it is a new beginning for me."
Kami faced death as she faced life: courageously, and with perseverance for life until the very end. She was a blessing to many and will be deeply missed.
All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today. Farewell Kami…until we meet again.
Kami was preceded in death by her grandparents Maynard (Brownie) and Vera Brown and Donald and Roena Higgins.
Kami is survived by her husband Virgal (Jim) Anderson; son Andy Lamb; mother Sharon Higgins, all of Sterling; her father Larry Higgins, and wife Kim of Evans, CO; 3 brothers Ray Higgins and wife Janean, Chris Higgins and wife Stephanie, all of Sterling, and Matthew Mueller of Loveland, CO; 8 nieces, 9 nephews, 6 great-nieces and great-nephews, 3 aunts, 3 uncles, and many cousins.
Funeral Services were held at the Church of Christ in Akron, with interment following at Akron Cemetery. A memorial in her honor may be made to either the Sterling Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society, or the Sterling Living Center. Brenner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
