Kevin Daniel Dutton was born in Denver, CO on November 12, 1961, to Odie and Marjorie Dutton. At the age of two weeks old, Kevin's family moved to the farm North of Cope. Kevin attended Arickaree School, graduating with the class of 1980.
On June 4th, 1988 Kevin married the love of his life Cathy Rinker.
Kevin had a love for country life. He enjoyed farming, working with cattle, camping and fishing. He enjoyed spending time looking for arrowheads and learning about history.
Most importantly Kevin enjoyed spending quality time with family. He had a special bond with all of his nieces and nephews. On one fishing trip to Bonny Dam, Kevin would bait all of the kids' fishing poles and would help them cast out. By the time he got them all done, it was time to start over as they had all reeled back in. At the end of the day, Kevin was surprised when he learned that all of the fish had to be let go, because they were "winking" at Kasey. There were countless one-on-one basketball games, and Kevin was not afraid to whoop up on his nephews. Later, as they grew taller than Kevin, they returned the favor.
Kevin and Cathy were blessed with the birth of their son Kade in 2000. This brought a whole new level of happiness to Kevin. Kevin was always so proud of Kade. He always enjoyed taking Cathy and Kade on camping and fishing trips.
Kevin was a basketball coach at Arickaree School from 2005-2012. He enjoyed working with the kids. They brought so much joy and laughter to him. He had many fond memories of all of the good times they had. It also meant that Kevin got to spend a lot of time with his helper, "Coach Kade."
Toward the end, Kevin could not wait for the arrival of his grandson Kolton. He would ask Cathy everyday, "Do we have a baby yet?" He always looked forward to the next time Kolton came to visit.
Kevin always had time to help anyone in need. He was a jack of all trades, and could fix just about anything. Through all of life's trials, Kevin's faith in the Lord never wavered. He will be greatly missed.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Odie and Marjorie Dutton, his brothers Gary Dutton and Steve Dutton, his sister Linda Norling, and an unborn grandchild.
Kevin is survived by his wife Cathy, his son Kade (Kassidy) Dutton, his grandson Kolton Dutton, siblings Connie Cook, Galen (Tina) Dutton, Davon Dutton, Kent Dutton, sister-in-law Bev Dutton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Claude and Ruby Rinker, brother-in-law Corey (Cassie) Rinker, special friends George and Kathy Barnes, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
