Mrs. Leona Yvonne "Bobbie" Hober, daughter of the late Leo David Norton and Alberta June Wells Norton, was born April 11, 1943  in Burlington, Iowa.  During her elementary years, Leona's family moved to Denver, Colorado.

As a sophomore in high school, Leona met the love of her life, her "hunny bunny", William "Bill" Hober.  They were happily married December 31, 1960 at the United Methodist Church of Akron, Colorado.  This union was blessed with two children.

Leona worked as a nurse's aide for 13 years at Beth Israel Hospital in Denver and continued to volunteer at Swedish Hospital later on.  She was an avid quilter.  Cherished were the times she spent with family and crafting with her grandchildren.

At the age of 79, Leona passed away with family at her side the afternoon of August 31, 2022 and is now at peace, surrounded by light.

Leona's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Bill, son Rick Hober and daughter-in-law Gina Hober of Florence, Colorado, daughter Sheri Geist and son-in-law Albert Geist of Denver, Colorado; 6 grandchildren Steven, Lacey, Amy, Allyson, Reanna, and Christopher; and 8 great-grandchildren Jakob, Taylor, Terri, Rocky, Weston, Brooklyn, Wyatt, and Bohdi.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Akron Cemetery Gazebo at 10:00 a.m.  Inurnment will follow at the Akron Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
