Obituary

Matthew Arnold Tramp, 50, passed away in Victorville, CA on March 16, 2022.

Matt, of Otis, CO, was born on January 10, 1972, to Arthur Raymond Tramp and Nancy Jo (Brady) Tramp at Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA.  Being born into a military family made for a diverse childhood including changing addresses about every 2 years and having lived in places such as North Dakota, Guam, California, Nebraska & Missouri.

One of the great thrills after departing the military way of life was moving to Warsaw, MO where it was quite an adventure living at a resort on a lake.  He made some very good friends and lots of great memories while going to school there before graduating from high school in 1990.

In 1993 he moved to Centralia, IL to be closer to his mom's family and was there for the next six years.  While there he worked for Price Right Food where he eventually became assistant manager.

In 2000 he moved to Sterling and went to work at the Correctional Facility.  His big desire had always been to go to college. So after a short stint, he quit and drove daily, for two years, to Westwood College of Aviation Technology in Broomfield, CO.  He always loved school and said he could have been a professional student.  After graduation he went to work building aircraft simulators and continued this till the company moved the work to the east coast and he had no desire to make the move.

Matt moved back to Sterling and worked around there for a year or so where he met a cute young lady named Sarah Enslow, at their place of work in 2006.  Matt made it a point to visit her mom's coffee shop on a daily basis and got to know her mom as well as Sarah.  Sarah and Matt married in 2007 and from there a whole new adventure began.

In 2008 he went to work for Next Era Energy.  He started out working on wind tower projects in Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, New Mexico, & Texas prior to moving over to solar projects.  In 2011, Matt was assigned to a large solar project near Indio, CA, so Matt and Sarah moved to Indio for a new adventure living in California and dealing with the desert heat.  While living in Indio, Matt and Sarah started attending Grace Baptist Church, where Matt was baptized.  Over the next ten years, Matt worked on jobs in Blythe, CA, Florida, South Carolina and Arizona.  Matt worked with some great people and enjoyed his job, which he took pride in discussing in great detail with his family.  At the time of Matt's passing, on March 16, 2022, he was working on a project near Victorville, CA.

Matt and Sarah's marriage came to an end in 2020, but they remained best friends to the end.

Matt was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor.  He loved seeing and making people smile and one of his most recent ventures on this was by sending a goofy gift from amazon to family members on a monthly basis because we all need a case of marshmallows, taco holders, rubber chickens, etc…ha.  Always wanting to make others smile and his giving nature were a testimony to his faith in Christ.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents William and Nellie (Gill) Tramp and Vernon and Velma (Rodgers) Brady.  As well as Uncles Paul Tramp, Victor Brady and Thomas Brady.

He is survived by his parents Arthur (Annabelle) Tramp, Nancy (Le Roy) Tramp-Maggard, Brothers Richard (Donna), Jarrad (Cheryl), and Daniel (Tricia), 12 Nieces and Nephews, 12 great Nieces and Nephews, many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. One of Matt's aunts, Sheila Beach, had a special bond with him that saw them doing a lot of crazy things together over the past 30 years.  He also had an unimaginable number of friends all over the country.
