Paul Jay Frank was born November 28, 1922 and passed away August 19, 2016.
Paul was born at home on the farm in Loveland, CO to Catherine and William B. Frank. From an early age Paul was taught to work, his father would wake him at 4:00 a.m. to go out and help set water on the crops.
He met Doris Irene Wetzbarger on a blind date with his cousin Harry Frank. They continued dating and began their married life, January 9, 1944 in Loveland but soon moved to the farm east of Anton, CO in the spring of 1945. They had four children; David, Charles, Susan and Nancy.
Early in his life God drew him to Himself and Paul repented of his sin and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Paul was a man of great faith and truly loved the Lord. He was a founding member of Sunnydale Community Church and later Sunnydale Evangelical Free Church where he was Church Chairman and taught Sunday School. Even in the last days, in the morning he would be found having his devotions and praying for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; local churches and missionaries that he knew.
Paul had a special relationship and a deep love for his brothers, Norman and Robert. He looked forward to their phone calls and visits.
He enjoyed feeding his cows and even fixing the fences. Horses were an important part of his operation. He broke many over the years to earn extra income. Paul rode Roane into his late 80's until Roane was struck by lightning. He watched religious programs on TV when he couldn't attend church; rodeos and the PBR were a highlight of his week. He also boasted about being in charge of quality control and being the oldest employee of FORCO (Dave's company).
Hospice of the Plains provided excellent care and service so that both Doris and Paul were able to die in their home and on the land that they loved. The family thanks Opal Skarpol for her gracious care.
Preceding Paul in death were his wife Doris; his parents Catherine and William B. Frank; Brother Roy Frank, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Left to miss his presence are his children: David and Lynette Frank of Flagler, CO; Paul and Catherine Frank and Ethan of LaJunta, CO. Charley and Karen Frank of Greeley; Jennifer Frank of California; Adam and Brittany Frank and Ava of Littleton, CO; Susan Wallen of Flagler, CO; Matthew and Lindsay Wallen, Canaan, Zoe and Abby of Littleton, CO; Anna and Kevin McMichael and Grace of Lakewood, CO; Jared and Kirsten Wallen and Roy of Edgewater, CO; Nancy Weeks, Rhett Weeks; Heath and Adrienne Weeks, Peyton, Coogan and Watson all of Des Moines, IA; brothers: Norman and Wanda Frank of Blackfoot, ID and Robert and Millie Frank of Greeley, CO.
