Obituary

On Tuesday Oct 20, 2015 we lost our beloved Sara Beth Campbell. She was born September 22, 1990 at 5:45 p.m. in Sanger California to Edward Kirk Pinkard and Justy Lynn Jenkins. She was the only baby born in Sanger that day. She was raised in California until she and dad moved to Colorado in 1996. She attended school in Hygiene Elementary, Lyons Middle School, and graduated from Silver Creek High School, with the help of Frieda Bishop, in 2008. She attended college at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling Colorado and then transferred to Panhandle State University in Goodwill, Oklahoma, to pursue a career in agriculture.
As a young child she helped her father take care of cattle, sometimes against her will, for the Jack Willy Outfit, in Hygiene Colorado. In the later part of 2001 her father went to work for Sombrero Ranch where she helped him ride, shoe, and hitch horses. They both learned a lot. She helped and attended The Great American Horse Drive for several years and was a great asset and distraction: fresh horses, cowboys, pretty cowgirl-enough said. She went on to work as a day work cowgirl outside Amarillo, in Channing Texas, with the help of the Bell family. In 2011 Sara went to Midland South Dakota to calve out a thousand head of heifers for Carl Maxwell. She completed her job and come back to help her father in the spring on the Sombrero Horse Drive.
Sara gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Tylar Lelani Pinkard, on January 6, 2013. As a single mother, she briefly moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to stay with her father. At this point she took a job with Clint Mortenson Silver & Saddles. She helped Wes Mastic in the saddle shop and Clint with the paperwork and buckles. It was in November in 2012 that Sara met Ty Campbell at the Working Ranch Cowboy Finals in Amarillo, Texas - they danced their first dance together in the hotel parking lot. In January of 2013, Sara took a job as a pen rider for Cargill Feeders in Eckley, Colorado under the direction of Chris Evans.
On October 5, 2013, Sara was wed to Tyrell Allen Campbell in an outdoor, western style wedding that matched their existing and future lifestyle. It was the happiest day of their lives. At this point, Sara took a job with Hickert Land Company as a ranch hand. She left after calving and day worked in the Washington and Yuma County area and for Brush Livestock. It was at this time that the office manager position opened at Cargill Feeders. Sara applied for the position, was hired, and went back to work for Cargill. She continued to build her life with Ty and on July 30, 2015, they welcomed their son, Hagen Alan Kalani Campbell – longest name in Washington County.
Sara competed in the Women's Ranch Rodeo Association and was an active member and a field representative for them until her untimely end. She was a cowgirl from one end to the other and either side. In the end she loved her husband, her family, her career, and she loved her life. She was a shining star that was put out to way to early. Sara was everyone's daughter, everyone's friend, and she will be greatly missed.
Sara is survived by her husband, Ty Campbell, daughter Tylar and son, Hagen. Her mother, Justy Lynn Jenkins, two step brothers, Mario Jarrett Bringetto and Joshua Dillon Richardson. Grandmother, Ginger Jenkins and her Uncle Raudy Jenkins and cousins and loved family. Father Edward Kirk Pinkard, Grandfather John Yada, Grandmother Susan Yada, Uncles Glen Pinkard, John Pinkard, Billy Pinkard, Scott Yada. Cousin Brandon, Kenna, Maddison, Kyla Pinkard, and many loving family members. Sara's Father and Mother-in-law Paul and Linda Campbell, and brothers-in-law Trent and Tel Campbell. Along with many extended family and friends.
A funeral service was held Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Washington County Fairgrounds Arena in Akron, Colorado. Memorial donations may be made to the Working Ranch Cowboy's Association Crisis Fund 408 SW 7th Ave. Amarillo, TX 79101. Bowin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
