Shirley Ann Kay Shaw, 68 of Sterling, passed away on May 17, 2018 at the Sterling Living Center.  Shirley was born on June 4, 1949 to Cleo and Margaret (Gebauer) Darby.  She grew up on a small farm 9 miles south of Akron and enjoyed gardening, working with livestock, and spending time with her family.

She received a degree in Landscape and Turf Management from NJC.  Shirley loved spending time with her daughter, two granddaughters, and great-granddaughter.  She also enjoyed doing crafts, taking care of her pets, and going for walks when the weather was nice.  Later in life, she had many friends and enjoyed the activities at Sterling Living Center.

Shirley is survived by her sister Mary Antener of Sterling, daughter Chrystal Stull of Stanton, MI, granddaughters Kimberlyn and Madison, and one great-granddaughter Renee.  She is also survived by aunt Leona Heater, cousins Lois Ballinger and Kim Dykes, and many other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Akron Cemetery.  Viewing will be at the cemetery from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Memorial donations may be made to the family of Shirley Shaw.
