Teresa Ann Wood-Mazotti, 67, passed away on February 23, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1958, in Ohio, to Donald and Marion Wood, who preceded her in death. Teresa lived a life centered on family, creativity, and quiet strength.

Teresa married Lewis James Mazotti on March 20, 2001, in Denver, Colorado. This March would have marked 25 years of marriage — a testament to the life they built together rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to family. In 2016, they moved to Akron, Colorado, where they planted new roots and became part of the community they were proud to call home. Teresa embraced small-town life and the meaningful connections that came with it.

As a homemaker, Teresa created more than a house — she created a safe, welcoming space where memories were made, traditions were honored, and everyone felt cared for.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis James Mazotti; her son, John Wood and wife Shelby of Akron, Colorado; her daughter Sara and son-in-law Anthony Cozad of Ovid, Colorado; and her daughter Skylar Mazotti of Akron, Colorado. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Travis, Andy. Chelsea, Allie, Zachariah, MacKenna, and Harmony Wood, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Teresa was a beautiful soul and a gifted artist. Her creativity was not only expressed through her artwork, but through the way she nurtured others' dreams and believed deeply in the potential of those she loved. She offered encouragement freely and supported her family wholeheartedly. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will remain a guiding presence in the lives she touched.

Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, her legacy of devotion, artistry, and unconditional love will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family is planning a private ceremony.
