Wyatt Robert Strand passed away on January 10, 2023. Wyatt was born on May 21, 2021 in Sterling, CO to Matthew and Stepha nie (Kay) Strand.
"The day we brought our beautiful baby boy home we knew our lives were blessed again beyond measure. Wyatt knew no fear. Nothing could stop his try and will to do everything his older brother did. The admiration he had for his brother and daddy, the work and chores he loved life like no one else. His face would light up any room, a smile not one soul will ever forget. He was tough. Not a day went by, he made sure he started his morning with mommy to make "cake" also known as cinnamon rolls. His love for the ranch and all it entailed built and molded our "why" . Always a strong, full of grace, happy Wyatt Robert."
Wyatt was a cowboy and the best ranch hand for his age. Whenever given the chance he was jumping in the driver seat of the tractor to feed cows or locking dad out of the Hydrabed because he had it handled. He loved tractors and feeding was his favorite thing to do in the mornings. He also enjoyed standing in the seat looking out the window while checking cows. Wyatt and his brother William loved going to town hoping we would be at the bank or vet supply store where they knew exactly where the candy bowl is and helped themselves. He was a ranch hand that will be unreplaceable and a son that every man would wish for and more. And just like any cowboy he had a soft spot for his momma and was the first one up helping her get ready for her day.
Wyatt was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Roy A Strand and great-grandmother A. Darlene Strand both of Otis, great-grandfather Johnie Dudley Chiolino, great-grandmother Charlene Joy Chiolino of Louisville, great-grandfather William D. Brethauer of Yuma, and great-grandmother Bonnie J Brethauer of Greeley.
He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Stepha nie Strand, his brother William Matthew, grandparents, Steve and Gail Kay, grandmother Lari Ann Kay, grandparents Rodney and Jacquie Strand, Nana Julie Strand (Jim), his cousin Kolton Strand, his Uncle Robert and cousins, Katie, Kelsey, Kenzie, his Aunt Sadie Kay, his Aunt Maggie and cousin Konnor, his Uncle Mick and Aunt Miranda, cousin Bryson and baby Brynlee, his Uncle Marty and Aunt Kelsey and cousin Riven and baby Ryker.
A memorial service will be held Thursday January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Sterling Berean Church. A private family inurnment will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Wyatt's parents, Matthew or Stepha nie Strand.
